The PRSA Memphis Vox Awards Honors Public Relations Professionals

Campfire Collective, DCA, and Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare recognized for numerous campaigns and projects over the past year.

Memphis, Tenn. - More than 18 companies entered 86 submissions for the prestigious Vox Awards, which honors public relations, marketing, and communications professionals for their work in the Mid-South. This year’s awards ceremony, hosted annually by the Memphis chapter of Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), was held at the Old Dominick Distillery. The sold-out event was well attended by in-house communication teams, agency staff, freelance professionals and students from the PRSSA chapters of the University of Memphis and University of Mississippi.

"For the past 27 years, PRSA Memphis has rewarded communications professionals for their hard work and dedication and this year was no different,” said Jennifer Sharp, PRSA Memphis president. “Not only did PRSA Memphis bring on the drama with a theme to remember, but we were also able to celebrate with one another and our successes as public relations professionals. Congratulations to all of our winners."

The Vox Awards committee has been preparing all year with event planning, accepting nominations, working with outside judges, and announcing winners in a variety of categories. The ceremony opened onto a rooftop view, offering attendees an open space to take a breath and be recognized for their work. Several of the attendees were recognized in categories including employee communications, brand management, and crisis communications.

Campfire Collective, which took home 14 awards, won the Best in Show Award for their work on the “GPAC Season 28 Launch,” which promoted the Germantown Performing Arts Center season that included 15 performances spanning dance, jazz, Americana, and more.

“I am overwhelmed with gratitude for my passionate team, the work we get to do in our beloved city, our wonderful clients, and our talented PR colleagues,'' said Shannon Briggs, Founder and Head Trailblazer at Campfire Collective. “Without this community, we would not be who we are today. These awards are for all of these people, not just for us.”

"It's only in the face of adversity that we learn what we're really made of. Our local PR and marketing pros are stronger than ever now, and it shows,” said Sisa Wang, VOX Chair. “It’s been an honor spotlighting the work being done by our best and brightest communicators. After all we’ve seen, nights like these are more important than ever. We received incredibly positive feedback, and owe our success to the exceptional quality of the teamwork on the committee.”
