Chuck Hutton Toyota Highlights Transformative Community Impact in 2024
MEMPHIS, TN (January 2025) – With a mission focused on enhancing community well-being and promoting environmental responsibility, local dealership Chuck Hutton Toyota hit sustainability milestones in 2024, including the installation of a solar farm and EV charging stations. In addition, the Chuck Hutton Toyota Driven to Donate program is central to the dealership’s commitment to positively impacting the community. In 2024, the initiative supported a wide range of causes, including events like a local Artist Market and Trunk-or-Treat event.

The solar panel farm at Chuck Hutton Toyota marks a major milestone in the dealership's efforts to shrink its carbon footprint and decrease dependence on conventional energy sources. By tapping into solar power, Chuck Hutton Toyota generates clean, renewable energy to support its operations, including newly installed EV charging stations.
Through its community impact initiative, Driven to Donate, the dealership hosted several successful community events in the past twelve months:
A Spring Break School Supply Drive for Westwood High School which provided essential classroom supplies.
The Art for Miles community artists’ market, showcasing artists and craftspeople from the Memphis community.
The second annual Trunk or Treat event, which aimed to provide a safe, family-friendly Halloween experience for the Whitehaven and Memphis community.
Paws for a Cause, a holiday collection drive that benefitted The Humane Society of Memphis.
Community Football Field Initiative: Chuck Hutton Toyota has begun construction on a dedicated communal space designed to host youth sports practices and games, providing a safe and welcoming environment for children in the community to stay active and engaged.

Our focus on innovation and community will continue to shape the Mid-South for years to come,” said Young Kim, owner. “Looking ahead to 2025, we are excited about the grand opening of the charging stations and we have a celebration planned for Earth Day.” The dealership is excited to continue its positive impact on the community in the new year. They’re eagerly anticipating the opening of the state-of-the-art EV charging stations, featuring a guest lounge with TVs, a dog park and potty area, and individual work stations with high-speed Wi-Fi. Additionally, the upcoming community soccer field will provide a dedicated space for youth sports, strengthening their community engagement.
