New Partnership with WYXR for Just Bluffin’ Podcast

Our relationship with our community has always been a vital part of our identity. We love to focus on the organizations that celebrate and support our city. Our podcast Just Bluffin' is an excellent example of our work to uplift community-focused organizations -- and we're happy to share some news with you! Campfire Collective and nonprofit community radio station WYXR 91.7 FM Memphis are partnering together to bring Just Bluffin’ to a wider audience. As part of their revamped podcast network partnership initiative, WYXR is showcasing us on their website, allowing us to reach WYXR’s diverse demographics. We're excited that a larger community audience will find out more about initiatives and projects underway to make Memphis a better place to live, work, and play.

Campfire Collective had the idea early on in the creation of Just Bluffin' to partner with WYXR in some way, as our values are so closely aligned. WYXR's foundation as a community radio station connects perfectly with our mission to shine the light on community changemakers in Memphis. We're grateful for the opportunity to work with their incredible team - Robby, Jay B, Liv, and the whole crew - who work hard to uplift our city in many different ways.

For those of you who haven’t yet tuned in, the podcast features Head Trailblazer Shannon and Initiative Igniter Cecilia connecting with Memphis community leaders to discuss their involvement in the Bluff City and engage Memphians with topical and lively discussions.

We’ve been thrilled to welcome George Abbott with Memphis River Parks, Gwyn Fisher with the Greater Memphis Chamber, Jared Boyd with WYXR, Wendi Thomas with MLK50, and Molly Quinn with OUTMemphis, Memphis music legend Al Kapone, University of Memphis Athletic Director Laird Veatch, and Orpheum Theater COO Daiquiri Baptiste.

Campfire Collective is the first of several potential partnerships for the podcast network, and this relationship will serve as the groundwork for how WYXR will position their new project moving forward.

“At WYXR, our 24/7 on-air programming offers a dynamic mix for those looking to tune in at any hour. But we also know that the Memphis community needs timely and focused information that fits into their lives,” said  WYXR Executive Director Robby Grant. “That’s why our WYXR Podcast Network, featuring standout talk shows like ‘Real Talk with Chip Washington,’ ‘Let’s Grab Coffee with SunAh Laybourn,’ and the engaging ‘Just Bluffin’ with Campfire Collective,' is designed to keep Memphians in the know, on their own schedule.”

Don’t miss a single episode! We have some wonderful guests in store, including Mia Henley with Creative Aging; Ron Brooks, River City Capital; Meka, Cofounder of Code Crew; and Sports Columnist Geoff Calkins. You can listen to Just Bluffin’ here.
